At the core of the Versys-X 300 is a refined 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, borrowed from the tried-and-tested Ninja 300 platform. It produces around 40 PS of power at 11,500 RPM and 26 Nm of torque at 10,000 RPM, making it one of the few twin-cylinder machines in the entry-level ADV class. The rev-happy nature ensures smooth cruising on highways, while the tall first gear and responsive low-end make it capable of handling dirt tracks and light off-road conditions with confidence.
